For your convenience, the most common questions are answered right here.
Q:What is the best time to contact you about building a pool?
A: In the Medford and Grants Pass, Oregon area, swimming pool builders are often booked out for many months. If you're REALLY lucky, you might talk to a pool builder when he has ‘caught up with his list’. More often, he will not be able to start your pool for 3-6 months. Chuck Kimmel Construction gets lots of inquiries between January and April each year. Don’t hesitate to call in the fall. You will have the best chance to swim next summer.
Q: Do you ever build fiberglass or vinyl liner pools?
A: No. Past experience with either type has not been good. Chuck Kimmel Construction builds gunite swimming pools, each engineered specifically for the Southern Oregon soil type that it is built in. You can be confident that it will perform well for a long time.
Q: How long will it take you to build my swimming pool?
A: We work on one swimming pool at a time. Depending on the weather, the complexity of the project, and the plasterer’s schedule, the pool will usually be ready for you to swim in 6-8 weeks.
Q: Who plasters your swimming pools?
A: There is an amazing company based in Redding, California that we have used for many years. We appreciate their professionalism and integrity. NW Pools & Pool Plastering does a beautiful job of applying pool finishes.. They are also the exclusive dealer in Northern California and Oregon for PebbleTec finishes. Our favorite is PebbleSheen.
Q: How much does a gunite swimming pool cost?
A: That is a loaded question. Contact us. Chuck is happy to come to your site. You can discuss the pool you want and we’ll get you a written proposal. On us.
